Inspiration to Teach:
I was one of those kids who always loved school. I always looked up to my teachers, but especially the fantastic foreign language teachers I was blessed with from high school through my post-secondary education. Spanish and German classes were always the fun classes. I knew I could be a great teacher someday, just like Herr Ahlers and Sra. Martin.

Teaching at Aquinas:
Teaching at a Catholic school is a gift to any Spanish teacher, because at a Catholic school we are able to share the full richness of Hispanic culture with our students. In my opinion, it is almost impossible to separate Hispanic culture, customs and traditions from their Catholic faith. I not only get to share my passion for the Spanish language and culture with my students, but also my Catholic faith.

At Aquinas Catholic Schools we educate the whole person. It is important to teach our students important dates in history, math facts and verb conjugations, but it is just as important to teach them about what they need to know to be good people. We are not only Catholic by name, but in our actions. I can't imagine teaching anywhere else!
